Newborn Knitted Bodysuit

Our baby bodysuits are knitted in 100% cotton and made to be the piece a newborn actually lives in. There are two knits here. The Textured Knit has a raised, ribbed stitch and comes in Oat, Coco and Ivory, and the lighter Wave Knit comes in Oat. Both sit in the same neutral palette as the rest of our knitwear, so a bodysuit works under a jumper or on its own without anything needing to match, and it suits a baby girl or a baby boy equally. Textured Knit and Wave Knit

The Textured Knit Bodysuit is the heavier of the two. The stitch gives it structure and a bit of warmth, which makes it the one most Mummas reach for through the cooler months. Coco and Ivory photograph beautifully, and Ivory is the closest thing we make to a classic white bodysuit.

The Wave Knit Bodysuit in Oat is lighter and softer in drape, and it's the easier pick for milder weather or for layering without bulk.

Sizing: Newborn and 0–3 Months

Our bodysuits come in two sizes. Newborn (AU 0000) suits babies up to 4kg and 56cm, and 0–3 Months (AU 000) suits 3 to 5kg and up to 64cm. Weight and height are far more reliable than age here, because babies grow at such different rates, so check those first.

Wearing a Knit Bodysuit Year-Round

Cotton knit breathes, which is why these work across more of the year than knitwear usually gets credit for. In the cooler months a bodysuit layers under a jumper without adding bulk. In milder weather it wears on its own. For genuinely hot Australian days, our summer bodysuits are the lighter option. Care is simple. Cold gentle machine wash with like colours, no bleach or wringing, and no tumble drying. Reshape and dry flat and the knit keeps its shape.
