What a Newborn Actually Needs
Most newborn lists are far longer than they need to be. For clothing, this is roughly what gets worn in the first three months:

- Two or three rompers — one-and-done dressing, and the ones that end up in photos.
- One or two jumpers — enough to layer over anything on a cool morning.
